Here’s why we should #FaceDepression together

(7-minute read)

Hello lightbeams!

It’s been a while. A lot has been happening for me personally and professionally and I’ve been doing quite a bit in both respects… mostly big changes, hence the quietness around these parts. However, I’m now ready to re-emerge (kind of) because there’s a lot of work to be done.

Remember I mentioned the FaceDepression public awareness campaign and the official launch of its Jamaican arm? Well, it went GREAT!!! See the album here on our Facebook page for proof. (You can also read fellow bloggers Petchary and Bianca Weld’s views on the event if you’d rather not take my word for it) 🙂

As a follow-up, I was invited to speak on the initiative on CVM at Sunrise (a Jamaican morning TV show) on behalf of our team. Anxiety and self-doubt wanted me to say no, but I got a sign from the universe (yes, I’m all about that) that it was supposed to be my job, so I went. I was VERY nervous and flustered, especially when the conversation took an unexpectedly personal turn, but I managed to eke it out and it went really well. In case you missed it (don’t worry, nuff people did), I’ve linked it below, so just go ahead and press play.

Thanks for reading/watching, love and light until next time!

Thanks for info. Know someone who is having an episode right now and would like to help, but they are very resistant. Take a horse to water but you can’t force them to drink. Very frustrating.
